USPS Suspended Its Services In Several States Due To The Ongoing Cold Season

United States Postal Services said that the company would not be able to provide its services in several states because of the ongoing cold season. On Tuesday USPS released a public statement that the company won’t be delivering letters in several states due to cold season and those states include Iowa, Kansas,  Missouri, etc. Many people who rely on the services of USPS will have to find better alternatives or wait till the company resumes its services. Currently, many states in the US are getting hurt because of massive cold seasons due to which public transportation and many other utilities have stopped working. However, USPS said that their service would not be open for any type of business operations also due to which local people in business might get hit. The company has warned all the central retail offices regarding their non-availability of the services.

Currently, the cold season is increasing at a faster rate in the US due to which many schools, colleges have been closed by the local administration. Due to such weather condition, the local businessmen are getting hit since most of them are not generating any revenue and now USPS has also stopped its services. However, while releasing this news, the USPS said that the company is going through some rough period because it’s hardly getting income from their operating business. The Main source of income for USPS is postal stamps, products, etc and due to such economic things, the company recently raised its prices of stamps by ten percent. The recent government shutdown has also affected those people who work under USPS, and it seems like the company needs a significant change in their revenue model to earn more from their core services.
